All aboard the cruise ship Gamalia

Captain’s Log, May 25th: Well, off we go on our first cruise with the Gamalia. The ship was built a few years ago, but has been totally refurbished under its new name ‘Gamalia’. We’re proud of the association with the Caribbean island of Gamalia, where the ship is registered, and sincerely grateful for the helpful advice from the owner, Mrs Negibi, wife of the President of Gamalia.

Our first spectacular cruise is in the Mediterranean, starting from Barcelona in Spain, with our first stop at Toulon, a beautiful French port. Then on to Nice, Monaco, Genoa, Naples, Sicily, Sardinia, Gibraltar, Majorca, and back to Barcelona. What a comprehensive and exciting time our passengers will have!

It’s unfortunate that one passenger, Mrs Cropworthy, had an accident as we were sailing away, but there was a clear sign warning of a weakness in the railings. The good news is that once she has had her arm set in plaster at the hospital, she will be able to fly out and join us part way through the cruise, at Naples.
