Great day in Toulon
Captain’s Log, May 26th: Well, it’s a lovely sunny day in Toulon, and our passengers can’t wait to go ashore and see the sights. Unfortunately, due to an administrative error, we were not able to enter the harbor and tie up to a jetty. (Mrs Negibi, the owner of the ship, is absolutely clear that it wasn’t her fault, but that of the French port officials)
So we’ve had to anchor offshore, and passengers will be transported by tender to shore. Due to the choppy state of the sea, elderly and infirm passengers will have to stay on the ship. We have apologized to the passengers, pointing out that in no way was it our fault.
On the plus side, we do have spectacular views of the naval dockyard, that can be enjoyed from our upper decks.
