Still here in Toulon

Captain’s Log, May 28th:  Circumstances have caused us to have to remain a further day in Toulon. Unbeknown to us, we had anchored in a restricted naval area, and a fine has been levied. Our owners in Negibi City have fortunately resolved the situation, and we will definitely be departing tonight. Regrettably, we have been compelled to anchor outside the port area, so shore visits today are not possible.

Some passengers have asked why we did not realize we were in a restricted area, and the answer is simple. The authorities here had displayed signs barring entry, but they were ONLY in the French language. This seems absurd to us, as at least there should have been an English translation.

As passengers are having to stay on the ship today, and without admitting any liability for the situation, a special discount is being offered of 5% on premium cocktails on the upper decks. This should certainly provide adequate compensation from having to miss our stop in Monaco.
